Former tennis professional Álex Corretja recently appeared on the SER program "A la cara," hosted by Xavier Sardà and Frank Blanco. During the interview, Corretja spoke with considerable emotion about his partner, Martina Klein, with whom he has shared 16 years.

He expressed profound affection, stating, "I would tell her that I love her, that for me, she is someone who has helped me grow, made me understand life much better, takes great care of me, and I would love to be with her for the rest of my life." Corretja further emphasized their shared life, adding, "We are very fortunate for the life we have, for the family we have created, and I hope we can continue this way for many years, especially having fun, taking care of each other, and respecting each other. We have a great time."

The couple's relationship began in July 2010. Over their 16 years together, they have built a close-knit family, including their daughter, Érika, born in 2017. Despite their long-standing partnership, they are not married, a point that was also discussed during the radio segment, with Klein joining via video call.

Klein revealed a recent near-proposal incident: "Last week, he almost proposed to me, but he chickened out." She recounted that during an event where Corretja was on stage, he came close to asking for her hand in marriage, but ultimately did not. The couple also noted that they are not even registered as a de facto couple, a situation Corretja acknowledged he needs to address. "I'm going to look into it to see what we need to do, and that will be a step forward," he remarked.
